Safety Management Employees are as concerned about working in a "safe" employment
atmosphere as simply "having a job." This concern has prompted
demands for higher performance standards and increased safety
awareness in the private, public, and governmental sectors.
Thus, there exists a need for professionals who are able to
develop and implement safe work practices in the workplace.
The Certificate in Safety Management is designed to meet this
need and help with career advancement. It also prepares students
for the American Board of Certified Safety Professionals examination.
Prerequisites The applicant must have an earned Bachelor's
degree, preferably in Science, Engineering, Nursing, or one
in a related environmental or occupational health field. Course
and Credit Hours: Fourteen (14) credit
hours are required for completion of the Certificate: Required PHC 6356 Industrial
